It detects the electrolyte vapor that typically occurs during initial venting, as well as hydrogen and carbon monoxide gases released during thermal runaway. This allows for the early identification of thermal runaway in lithium-ion battery packs, significantly reducing risks by implementing appropriate mitigation measures. Furthermore, by responding to multiple gases, the reliability of detection is improved, and the occurrence of false negatives is reduced.
